Louder Than My Demons

The Next Chapter

There are moments in life when you realize you’re standing at the edge of a new chapter. You don’t know how it will end. You don’t know how difficult it will be. You just know that when you walk through the next door… life won’t be the same. Yesterday was one of those days. Today marks 19 months sober. This week marks one year of Louder Than My Demons. And yesterday, the judge granted my motion to withdraw my guilty plea and scheduled my case for trial on December 1. As I drove to court that morning, I honestly didn’t know what was waiting for me. I just knew one thing… Whatever happened… I’d face it sober. On my way to court. I didn’t know exactly what the day would bring, but I knew I was going to face it sober. A Year of Recovery Over the last year, this community has walked beside me through victories, setbacks, questions, and uncertainty. You’ve celebrated sobriety milestones with me. You’ve watched me rediscover music. You’ve followed my fitness journey. Most importantly… You’ve reminded me that none of us recover alone. Yesterday Changed Everything Yesterday, another chapter began. The judge granted my motion to withdraw my guilty plea, and my case is now scheduled for trial on December 1. I know many of you have questions. I understand why. But because my case is active, I won’t be discussing the facts or evidence publicly. That isn’t fear. It isn’t avoidance. It’s respect for the legal process and for the advice of my attorney. There will be a time to tell that story. Today isn’t that day. “Peace doesn’t come from knowing the outcome.Peace comes from knowing who you’re becoming while you wait for it.”   Jozey – Creator of LTMD What I Can Talk About What I can talk about… …is what this moment means to me. For the first time in a long time, I feel like I have the opportunity to move forward through the legal process. I know there are still challenges ahead. Trials are serious. They carry uncertainty. I don’t take that lightly. Recovery Taught Me This… Recovery has taught me something I didn’t know nineteen months ago. Peace doesn’t come from knowing the outcome. Peace comes from knowing who you’re becoming while you wait for it. That sentence has become my anchor. Nineteen months ago… I was trying to survive. Today… I’m trying to become the man my children deserve… The friend my loved ones can count on… And the person I can look at in the mirror with honesty. That journey doesn’t stop because of a court date. If anything… It becomes even more important. One Year of LTMD This week also marks one full year of Louder Than My Demons. I can’t let that pass without saying thank you. Thank you for watching. Thank you for listening. Thank you for encouraging me when I doubted myself. Thank you for sharing your own stories of recovery, loss, hope, and redemption. You’ve reminded me that this podcast has never been just about me. It’s about all of us. People trying to rebuild. People trying to forgive themselves. People trying to believe tomorrow can be better than yesterday. The Next Chapter I don’t know exactly what the next few months will bring. I do know this. I’ll keep showing up. I’ll keep doing the work. I’ll keep protecting my sobriety. I’ll keep making music. I’ll keep loving my family. I’ll keep recording this podcast. And I’ll keep believing that our worst chapters don’t have to become our final chapters. Until Next Time… No matter what comes next… We Recover Loud. Louder Than Our Demons. Companion Podcast
